Mrs. Teabody Looks After Your Heart

Already there is a Tequila Sunrise helping Mrs. Teabody to greet the day, Gentle Reader, and hopefully you are viewing it, too. Mrs. Teabody wonders how many February Fridays have had such an auspicious beginning. Mon Dieu!  (in the most appreciative sense).

Today is "National Wear Red Day" for Heart Disease awareness. This is an important movement in America as so many women with heart disease go undiagnosed. There are so many things everyone can do to help prevent heart disease, and a healthy diet is one of them. It should be no surprise that Mrs. Teabody advocates drinking tea, and the recent trip to NYC which featured several conversations with tea experts was quite illuminating.

From Tea Forte:
"Research suggests that the powerful antioxidants in green tea called flavonoids may protect the heart and help lower ones's risk of heart disease. Tea Forte takes great pride in offering health promoting TEAS FOR THE HEART on behalf of the 42 million American women living with, or at risk of heart disease. You can champion awareness of the importance of prevention and early detection, accurate diagnosis and proper treatment so that women can take action to protect their health. Make a difference with TEAS FOR THE HEART." This special sampling of green teas in a heart-shaped box should be available early next week at Tickle Your Fancy. Other green teas available include Mrs. Teabody's favorite, Adagio's Casablanca Twist, and a needles tea, Anji Duet.  TYF also offers a wide variety of Rooibos and chai, both promising health benefits. Do drink your tea, Gentle Reader. A brilliant cardinal outside the window just offered the same advice.

The morrow will find Mrs. Teabody taking to the highway in her ancient motor car going one hundred miles afield to be trained in the rudiments of judging Odyssey of the Mind performances leaving Mr. Teabody in charge of Tickle Your Fancy. Mr. Teabody is a charming man, Gentle Reader, so do stop by to visit. Mrs. Teabody is loathe to travel so far solo, but it is to help a group of school children of whom Mrs. Teabody is inordinately fond, and for those one loves, no journey is too perilous. Mrs. Teabody hopes all your journeys are safe ones, and you will think about taking care of your heart.  Ta for today!
