Mrs. Teabody Gets Disconnected

Image
Darlings! What a day it has been for Mrs. Teabody just learning the ropes of this blogging process only to be cut off in some sort of technological conundrum. Do let me assure all you Gentle Readers that the situation has been dealt with and you may expect today's musings on the morrow. Mrs. Teabody is enjoying Tea Forte's "Forte" as she has miles to go before she sleeps. Wasn't this a fine June day? Perfection. Ta Now!

Mrs. Teabody Gets Caught in a Drizzle (And an Intrigue?)

Image
Morning Dearies, Mrs. Teabody's spirits are on the dampish side this morning as she, Lady Glass and  the Duchess Ming had their daily perambulation marred by a ghastly drizzle leading the party to a frenzied and feverish dash for cover taken on the veranda of Lady Blackthorne's vacation cottage. From that vantage point  the domicile of Mr. and Mrs. Ferrous was clearly in view and the most disturbing series of events ensued. Allow Mrs. Teabody to share.  The Ferrous family have an enormous but gentle-natured canine named Lord Percy who is very good chums with Duchess Ming. The two have enjoyed numerous merry romps. On this grey dawn, however,  Lord Percy was nowhere within  view. Odder still was that the motor car belonging to Mrs. Ferrous' mother was parked somewhat haphazardly nearby. Wherever could Mr. Ferrous be?  As Lady Glass, Mrs. Teabody and Duchess Ming began their homeward journey, they encountered the motorcar belonging to Mr. Ferrous' mother heading

Mrs. Teabody, Duchess Tilly and Lady Shumleywinks Take a Holiday

Image
Oh, Dear Heaven, Mrs. Teabody does apologize for disappointing her loyal readers who drop in each morning. A thousand apologies, my Darlings! Truth to tell, Mrs. Teabody has taken a brief and whirlwindy sojourn with her siblings, Duchess Tilly and Lady Shumleywinks to the province of Delaware for some summertime diversion. Duchess Tilly is something of a savant with motor cars and Lady Shumleywinks a miracle at navigation so Mrs. Teabody was devoid of responsibilities other than to contribute her fine unflappable good nature and razor-sharp wit to the outing. Mrs. Teabody strongly suspects those rather sterling qualities are the reason for her inclusion. Mrs. Teabody shan't divulge the intimate details of the outing, but suffice to say that being so far removed from one's own tea kettle and nob can be quite disconcerting. Luckily, Mrs. Teabody had the forethought to take along some delicious Tea Forte Flora for her foursies and her elevenses, and that warm familiar goodness

Sunday Pre-dawn

Good Morning, My Darlings! Mrs. Teabody is sad to report of her indisposition yesterday afternoon. Following her daily perambulation with Lady Glass, Mrs. Teabody readied her charming woodland shop for the advent of custom.  Lady Glass arrived in the company of Mrs. Spoone of the Carolina Spoones and Mrs. Teabody was charmed. She had prepared a special surprise for the pair: icy glasses of Tea Forte's Blackberry Pomegranate with fresh mint, and the response from the two was most gratifying. Mlle. Alexa says of it: " Specially blended to be flash-chilled, our crisp Ceylon estate tea is enhanced with lively pomegranate and summer berry notes." (Mrs. Teabody finds Mlle. Alexa perfectly charming as she is such a polished speller.) Lady Glass was fractionally disappointed that Ginger Pear was not available in tins, but Mrs. Teabody gave her every assurance that the situation would be amended post haste. A lively debate then ensued over the lovely Pre de Provence soaps

To Cinema or Not to Cinema?

A Very Early Good Morning to You! Mrs. Teabody has a bit of a feather in her throat this morning. She was hoping never to have to mention the presence of a certain domestic feline, but ( Alas!) when one's slumber is curtailed by such an alarming cat-er-wailing, Mrs. Teabody has no choice but to comment so, Gentle Folk, do close your ears whilst Mrs. Teabody rails:  Blast that cat for waking me even before the morning chorus takes on!  Mrs. Teabody now feels calmer. Thank Kew. Lady Glass and Mrs. Teabody, along with the Duchess Ming, do plan a perambulation in the Wild Woods this morning, and she is fearful that her new coiffure  so artfully crafted by  the (mysterious !) Mme. Sophia will  be compromised. By the by, Mme. Sophia has assured Mrs. Teabody that her chestnut locks shall never succumb to the ravages of time. Mrs. Teabody should like her to have some sort of international recognition for that, but perhaps a gift from the new Tea Forte  collection will suffice. Mrs. Tea

Mrs. Teabody tries "Ceylon Gold"

Image
Hello Again! Just had my four o'clock tea and I dare say Mrs. Teabody is quite the adventuress this afternoon, choosing to imbibe ICED tea and of quite a unique nature--one of the new Tea Forte teas called Ceylon Gold. Shades of the 60's???  Nothing QUITE so daring, but this nice black tea provides quite a  lift. Nice hearty flavor  and very pure. Mrs. Teabody rates it a 4 on a scale of 1 to 5. MISTER Teabody was kind enough to hang the Boston ferns on the veranda this afternoon, and it was the very touch wanted. Mrs. Teabody  is convinced enough of the power of such an enhancement that she plans to take an hour there now with her Kindle. Remember what Mrs. T. always says : Whatever your evening plans may be, they will be better with a cup of tea. Ta Ta, Darlings!

Good Morning, Dearies! Yesterday was Midsummer's Day, and if you think June is going too fast, you have lots of company. Here at the edge of the woods, much is happening to prepare Tickle Your Fancy for the upcoming open house  on July 15 and 16.  Mrs. Teabody KNOWS you would not dream of missing it.

Mrs. Teabody Greets the Day: June 23, 2011

Hola, Darlings! Mrs. Teabody is wrestling the twenty-first century to the tarmac, and it's rather  daunting in such a nice dress, but not to worry. The woods are lovely, dark and deep, and this morning they are WET so the planned perambulation with Lady Glass and Duchess Ming must wait. Bad thing about a rainy morning is all the keys on the dastardly cell phone stick so Mrs. Teabody can  punctuate only declarative sentences. Have you already scribbled July 15  ( Tickle Your Fancy (TYF)  Open House) into your planner? You must prepare to take your chances here in the  Wild Woods  just so you can see so many pretty things, and not a tart burner or grapevine wreath amongst them. Just the loveliest: shiny, fanciful, indulgent pretties hoping to go home with you. Mrs. Teabody's Excellent Good Friend ( EGF) Mrs. Fluffymuffin rarely calls on Mrs. Teabody because of her MANY ( !) issues with Mother Nature, but even EGF agrees that she has future commerce involving the delightful
