Mrs Teabody Carries Coal to Newcastle

Good Morrow, All!

Mrs. Teabody had wonderful snippets of dreams through the night so she was thoroughly entertained.  Mrs. Teabody believes that hot chocolate inspires such nocturnal creativity. Regardless, Mrs. Teabody wakened herself with her own laughter. There are worse things, Gentle Reader.:)

Yesterday marked Mrs. Teabody's monthly visit to  the (mysterious !) Mme. Sophia. Once again, Mme. Sophia assured Mrs. Teabody that her chestnut locks shall never succumb to the ravages of time.  Also noted previously, Mrs. Teabody should like her to have some sort of international recognition for that. Mme. Sophia entertained Mrs. Teabody with tales of her adventures and was most appreciative when presented with a bottle of champers along with other various accoutrement of this festive season. Mme. Sophia certainly merits it, and Mrs. T reminds her gentle readers not to ignore those who deliver the post, maintain one's coiffure and whisk away the refuse as they make life  ever so much more pleasant .

Commerce took Mr. Teabody to a neighboring commercial center and he asked for the company of Mrs. Teabody and she thought it churlish to refrain.  Following a delicious repast of salad greens at a local bistro, the Teabodys explored various shops in the downtown area including a purveyor of kitchen fare and Christmas ornaments, a coffee (!!!!) shop,  a famous gift shop and a candy shop. All had something unique to contribute, and Mrs. Teabody wonders aloud why most people would not choose  small, locally-owned shops over massive global corporate endeavors. Perhaps folks like the anonymity? Mrs. Teabody cannot answer her own question. Perhaps you, Gentle Reader, can explain.

Duchess Ming was so very pleased to see the Teabodys on their return, but Mr. Teabody suggests part of her ardor was prompted by the lovely smell of steak coming from his pocket. Surely Duchess Ming is one of the world's cleverest dogs.

The remainder of the evening was spent in leisurely contemplation of  Chez Teabody  enjoying the brilliant scarlet poinsettia, the tall light-filled tree, the fragrance of clove-studded oranges and wafts of hot chocolate stirred with a candy cane whilst reading Christmas missives from friends both far and near, Christmas songs playing softly. A perfect pre-Christmas day which Mrs. Teabody hopes all her Gentle Readers have the chance to enjoy. Bon Chance!
Do enjoy your Tuesday, My Dearies! Mrs. Teabody is off soon to Tickle Your Fancy where she hopes everyone who visits will appreciate the fine new array of herbals that arrived yesterday. Do stop by!
